Homemade Hamburger Helper Recipe

This post may contain affiliate links. Read my full disclosure statement to learn more.

Who else used to make hamburger helper? It was my go-to dinner when I was newlywed. It was easy! My cooking skills have increased a lot since then, and I no longer buy boxed meals. However, I do have “those days”. You know, those days when you have a new baby and nothing gets done, or a day spent following around a toddler tornado (me right now!). There are also exciting days where you have new lambs, and you spend your afternoon watching them hop around, instead of starting the dinner that you had planned. Those are the days I wish I could pull out a quick 20 min meal. If you are like me, you will value this dinner to be your nutritious “fast food”.

What Type of Pasta I Use

I use Jovial organic einkorn noodles, the only ingredients are wheat and water. Homemade noodles would be delicious, but remember this is a quick, easy dinner. I have also used brown rice (gluten free) pasta, and you could also sub 1 cup of rice if you don’t want to serve pasta.
